ahhh wow this comment blew me away, thank you. yeah, albus and gellert's love story is probably the most tragic of all the love stories in harry potter (even moreso than snape's), because you know there was this thing they had, they were both so intrigued by each other, and albus was so in love with gellert, it was just - it's painful, is what it is, because albus thought there wasn't anything else in the world for him except for gellert, and then reality hit with ariana and everything, and albus had always had that on his conscience, it was always in the back of his mind, and just - ugh, i've always wished for more too.
